Confidence
Hey y’all this is definitely something I’ve been wanting to write about for awhile. It’s February, and I thought to myself let’s talk confidence, self love, and body love! This is important for everyone but extremely important for fat people of color. Fat is not a bad word, but society has definitely turned it into one... I’m a fat black woman, and I’m proud of my body! I love my body! I have always loved my body. When I was little I would always walk around my room naked and just look at myself in the mirror and my mom would constantly be like go put some clothes on walking around here like you’re the Queen of Sheba! I never knew what she meant, but I liked being called a Queen, and not much has changed! I have friends that have told me their stories of growing up, and being fat shamed by family.
